'Sunset Rain in the Distance' is the opening track to my album 'Midnight Solstice'. This album is a cathartic response to my time living in San Francisco, (and also living in a major city for the first time) while having the reminiscence of home and the past linger in the back of my mind.
'Sunset Rain in the Distance' is a sound collage that combines many of my personal favorite sounds. Some of these sounds include; cicadas, the sound of rain, wind chimes, tornado sirens, pianos. The nebulous drones are created by manipulating layers of my own bass clarinet and saxophone playing.
